Ahi with Thai Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

Scale: 1x
  • 1 tablespoon Peppercorns (white, cracked)
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • cup Lime juice
  • 3 tablespoon Soy sauce (dark)
  • 1 tablespoon Fish sauce
  • 2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Jalapeno peppers (diced)

Instructions

  1. For the rub......in a small saucepan combine the peppercorns, salt and sesame seeds.
  2. Roast this mixture until the seeds are lightly toasted, about 5 minutes.
  3. Lightly oil both sides of the Ahi and sprinkle on the rub. Press lightly into flesh.
  4. Grill over high, direct heat. Sear each side about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Serve with individual portions of the sauce.
