Armadillo Eggs

Ingredients

Scale: 1x
  • ½ package Cream cheese
  • ½ cup Cheese (Sharp cheddar)
  • ½ cup Cheese (Mozzarella)
  • teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ teaspoon Chili powder
  • ½ pound Pork sausage (raw)
  • ½ pound Cheese (Sharp cheddar)
  • cup Bisquick
  • 1 package Shake & Bake (Pork)

Instructions

  1. Use the largest Japs you can find.
  2. Split the Japs in half lengthwise and de-seed.
  3. Mix the Bisquick, sausage and Cheddar cheese.
  4. Take this mixture and form around a Jap. Use enough to cover completely.
  5. Beat the eggs.
  6. Dip the covered japs in the egg and then roll in the Shake and Bake.
  7. Cook at 350 for 25 minutes. You can also grill these, turning a couple times.

Tips

Make sure all dairy ingredients are well-chilled for best results. Always preheat your oven and check for doneness a few minutes before the suggested baking time.
