Belize Hot Sauce

Serves 8

Ingredients

Scale: 1x
  • 1 small Onion (chopped)
  • 2 clove Garlic (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 2 medium Carrot (chopped)
  • 2 cup Water
  • 3 tablespoon Lime juice (fresh)
  • 3 tablespoon White vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. Saute onions in oil until soft. Add garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
  2. Add carrots and water, bring to boil and cook, uncovered, until carrots are soft.
  3. Remove from heat and add habs, lime juice, vinegar and salt.
  4. Puree in processor until smooth.
  5. Makes 2 pints.
