Cajun Cream Sauce

Ingredients

Scale: 1x
  • 1 teaspoon Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Shallot (minced)
  • teaspoon Garlic (minced)
  • ½ teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • ½ cup Tabasco
  • 2 cup Heavy whipping cream

Instructions

  1. Melt butter and add shallots, garlic and cayenne. Saute for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the hot sauce, increase heat and simmer until reduced by half.
  3. Add cream, bring to boil and simmer until reduced by 1/3.
  4. Cook until thick.
  5. Serve with crab cakes.

Tips

Make sure all dairy ingredients are well-chilled for best results.
