Caramel Topping/Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

Scale: 1x
  • ½ cup Whipping cream
  • 1 stick Butter (unsalted)
  • 1 cup Sugar

Instructions

  1. Add sugar to saucepan and cook over medium high heat until melted...about 5 minutes.
  2. Cook until sugar is amber in color, about another minute.
  3. Add butter, salt and vanilla and whisk to combine.
  4. Add cream and stir carefully. This mixture will bubble up and splatter so be careful!

Tips

Make sure all dairy ingredients are well-chilled for best results.
