Addictive pretzels baked with a savory and spicy coating featuring ranch dressing mix and cayenne.
Ingredients
Scale:
1x
- 1 package (15-20 oz) Pretzels (any shape)
- 1 cup Vegetable oil
- 1 package (1 oz) dry Ranch Dressing mix
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper (or to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°F (95°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the vegetable oil, dry ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
- Place the pretzels in a large roasting pan or a disposable foil half hotel pan.
- Pour the oil and seasoning mixture evenly over the pretzels.
- Stir gently but thoroughly to coat all the pretzels.
- Bake for 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to ensure even coating and prevent sticking.
- The mixture will seem very wet initially, but it will cook down and the pretzels will become dry and infused with flavor by the end of the cooking time.
- Let cool completely in the pan before serving or storing in an airtight container.
Tips
Ensure you stir the pretzels periodically during baking so the seasoning distributes evenly as the oil absorbs. These are great for parties as they make a large batch!
