Cream Pie

- ¾ cup sugar
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- 2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoon butter
- ¼ cup sugar
Instructions
- 3 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 egg whites
- Pre heat oven to 375
- Mix sugar, salt, cornstarch and milk in pan.
- Add beaten yolks and bring to boil.
- Add vanilla and butter and thoroughly cool. Place saran wrap over top to prevent hardening.
- Pour into baked pie shell.
- Make a meringue by beating together egg whites and sugar until stiff.
- Place on top of filling and until brown.
Tips
Ensure your bowl and beaters are completely free of any grease for the best meringue. Always preheat your oven and check for doneness a few minutes before the suggested baking time.
