Ingredients

  • 3 cups cabbage
  • 1 small carrot
  • 1/3 cup Miracle Whip salad dressing
  • 4 teaspoons vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon celery seed

Instructions

  1. Shred cabbage and set aside in a bowl.
  2. Coarsely chop the carrot and place in a food processor or chopper.
  3. Pulse until the carrots are chopped slightly larger than your desired final size.
  4. Add the shredded cabbage and all other ingredients to the food processor.
  5. Pulse a few times until the ingredients are well combined and the cabbage reaches your desired consistency.
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl.
  7. For best flavor, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Tips

If you don't have a food processor, you can finely chop the cabbage and carrots by hand and mix with the dressing ingredients in a bowl. For a creamier coleslaw, add a bit more Miracle Whip. For a tangier version, increase the vinegar. This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled for larger gatherings. Try using apple cider vinegar for a slightly different flavor profile.
