Jalapeno Crab Dip

25 mins Serves 8

A hot, cheesy crab dip baked with chopped jalapenos and topped with Parmesan.

Ingredients

Scale: 1x
  • 1 pound Crab meat, picked over for shells
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh garlic, chopped
  • 0.5 cup Pickled jalapenos, chopped
  • 0.25 pound Monterrey Jack cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Hot sauce ((adjust to taste))
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (for topping)
  • Crackers, tortilla chips, or bread (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a small oven-safe baking dish or pie plate.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the crab meat, chopped garlic, chopped pickled jalapenos, grated Monterrey Jack cheese, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, salt, and mayonnaise.
  4. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle the top generously with grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until the dip is heated through, bubbly, and the Parmesan topping is lightly golden.
  8. Remove from oven and let the dip rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  9. Serve hot with crackers, tortilla chips, or sliced bread.

Tips

Using lump crab meat will give the best texture. Adjust the amount of jalapenos and hot sauce based on your spice preference.
