Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

Scale: 1x
  • 3 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • teaspoon each (nutmeg, white pepper, cayenne pepper)

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375.
  2. Over medium heat, heat milk. Melt butter and when bubbles, add flour and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Pour milk into roux, mixing constantly and cook until thick and bubbling.
  4. Remove from heat and add the spices and the cheeses.
  5. Combine cheese mixture and macaroni and pour into prepared baking pan.
  6. Top with bread crumbs and bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Tips

Always preheat your oven and check for doneness a few minutes before the suggested baking time.
