Mexican Red Sauce

Serves 8

Ingredients

Scale: 1x
  • tablespoon Oil
  • ½ tablespoon Flour
  • cup Chili powder
  • 1 cup Chicken stock
  • 6 ounce Tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano (dried)
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. Heat oil and add flour. Stir until smooth and cook for at least 1 minute.
  2. Add chili powder and cook for another 30 seconds.
  3. Boil and then reduce heat to simmer and cook for 15 minutes.
  4. This sauce will thicken and smooth.
