Peach Kuchen

Ingredients

- ½ cup Butter
- 2 cup Flour
- ¼ teaspoon Baking powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
Instructions
- Combine flour, baking powder, salt and 2 TBLS of sugar. Work in butter until cornmeal consistency.
- Pat an even layer of above mixture into bottom and up sides of pan. Use your hands and press firmly until pastry holds.
- Remove peach skin and slice. Arrange these on top of pastry.
- Combine cinnamon and remaining sugar and sprinkle over fruit.
- Bake for 15 minutes and then remove from oven.
- Combine cream and egg yolks and pour over top.
- Bake another 30 minutes or until set. This must be refrigerated and cooled. You can then serve cold or re-heat slightly and serve.
Tips
Make sure all dairy ingredients are well-chilled for best results. Use fresh, ripe fruit for the best flavor. Always preheat your oven and check for doneness a few minutes before the suggested baking time.
