Snickerdoodles

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shortening
  • cup sugar
  • cup flour
  • 2 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs.
  2. Chill dough and then roll into walnut sized balls.
  3. Pre-heat oven to 400º.
  4. Combine sugar and cinnamon and roll balls in this mixture.
  5. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
