Sonny’s Smokehouse BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cup Water
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 1 cup Cider vinegar
  • ½ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoon Dry mustard
  • 2 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Peppercorns
  • ¼ cup Butter

Instructions

  1. Toast anchos in a large skillet over medium heat, turning once, until they are softened, 4 to 5 minutes. Transfer to a saucepan; add water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer anchos 5 minutes. Remove from heat, let stand 10 minutes.
  2. Makes 4 cups.
