Sonny’s Smokehouse BBQ Sauce

- 2 cup Water
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 1 cup Cider vinegar
- ½ cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoon Dry mustard
- 2 tablespoon Paprika
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- ½ teaspoon Peppercorns
- ¼ cup Butter
Instructions
- Toast anchos in a large skillet over medium heat, turning once, until they are softened, 4 to 5 minutes. Transfer to a saucepan; add water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer anchos 5 minutes. Remove from heat, let stand 10 minutes.
- Makes 4 cups.
