A creamy and fiery guacamole blended with fresh cilantro, onion, garlic, and plenty of serrano peppers.

Ingredients

  • 2 large Avocados, pitted and peeled
  • Juice from 1 lime
  • 1 cup chopped Cilantro
  • 1/2 cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 4 large Garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 4 large Serrano peppers, stemmed and finely chopped (seed for less heat if desired)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the avocado flesh, lime juice, chopped cilantro, finely chopped onion, finely chopped garlic, finely chopped serrano peppers, and salt into the bowl of a food processor.
  2. Process the ingredients until creamy and well combined. You can process longer for a smoother guacamole or pulse for a chunkier texture.
  3. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  4. Taste and adjust salt or lime juice if necessary.
  5. Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl.
  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips.

Tips

The heat level can be adjusted by changing the number of serrano peppers or by removing the seeds and veins before chopping. Placing plastic wrap directly on the surface of the guacamole can help prevent browning if storing.
