Sweet Cornbread

Ingredients

Scale: 1x
  • 2 cup Flour
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Corn meal (yellow)
  • ½ teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Half and Half
  • 3 teaspoon Baking powder

Instructions

  1. 2 Egg(s), beaten
  2. Scald butter and cream.
  3. Fold in egg.
  4. Grease and flour 10" cast iron skillet OR a 9 x 13 baking pan OR a muffin tin.
  5. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.
  6. This will make about 16 muffins and will take 5-10 minutes LESS time to cook.
