Thymely Chicken

Ingredients

Scale: 1x
  • ½ stick Butter
  • ¼ cup Thyme (fresh, chopped)
  • 2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Beer

Instructions

  1. 6 Quart Dutch Oven Melt butter and brown chicken in salt, pepper and half the thyme..
  2. Add water and beer.
  3. Quarter the potatoes and cut the carrots into 3" pieces.
  4. Add these plus onions and other half of thyme.
  5. Place lid on and add 15 coals on top and 9 underneath.
  6. Cook for about 1 hour.
  7. Serves 6.
